Ljubljana, one of the smallest European capitals is situated little short of geographical centre of Slovenia. This business, cultural, political and educational centre is home to 280.000 inhabitants. Its southern part was first settled more than 5.000 years ago. City´s scenic medieval core is squeezed between river Ljubljanica and the castle hill. Due to many measures taken in the recent 15 years, Ljubljana was honored in 2016 with the title »EU Green Capital«.
Behold the Triple bridges, Prešern’s square, Congress square with University building, National Library, Cobbler bridge, medieval core, city-hall and cathedral. We will learn about the history and architecture of most important buildings and listen to the interesting stories of the past and present, whispered by Ljubljanica river. Did you know, that Ljubljana city tour can be done partly as ˝off the beaten path˝ tour as well?
