The tour starts with an overview of the building that hosts the Museum, its history and the collections.
Visit of the Farnese collection with the famous Hercules and the Farnese Bull.
Visit of the first floor that hosts the Mosaics from Pompeii including the Mosaic of Alexander the Great made with almost 1 million tiles and the Mosaics from the House of the dancing Faun of Pompeii.
Visit of the Secret Cabinet with the Erotic paintings and statuettes.
Visit of section dedicated to Herculaneum with the extraordinary collection of bronze and marble statues from the Villa of Papyri.
The Hall of Meridian is hosted in the second floor: so called for a solar Meridian on the floor that once served as a clock.
Visit of the rooms dedicated to the finds of Pompeii: in the window cases are displayed items of the daily life such as mirrors, glasses, amulets, pots and many other treasures.
From there is possible to reach the rooms hosting the frescoes from Pompeii and Stabiae.
At the end of the tour you can spend more time in the Museum on your own or you can get out with your guide.
